When controlling moisture in a water loss it is important to understand what mold is exactly and how to handle it both correctly and safely

         How mold is formed

Mold is formed from moisture that sits for a small period of time such as two or three days and normally flourishes on surfaces like drywall or wood material. 

        How mold spreads

Mold releases small spores that travel to find another surface and once the spores land on another surface, the cycle is repeated until the mold is remediated. 

       How to control/limit the growth of mold until help arrives 

Keep the room isolated and have no one enter the damaged room, limit the amount of airflow in the room so that mold cannot spread as quickly, and do not attempt to wipe mold off with a simple wet rag
